چکیده

The electrochemical detection of free chlorine based on the reduction at a gold electrode has been studied. The differential pulse voltammetric curves exhibited well-defined cathodic peaks. Investigations with this system suggested that the active species in the cathodic reaction is HClO. Excellent reproducibility was demonstrated at pH 5. The peak height could be used for accurate and rapid determination of free chlorine in a sample water. A linear relationship (r=0.99) was found for the concentration range of 1–5 mgCldm 3 and the detection limit was estimated to be 0.04 mgCldm .

In this study, 2-aminobenzoic acid (ABA) has been used as complexing ligand for simultaneousdetermination of metal ions by adsorptive cathodic stripping voltammetry (AdCSV), for the firsttime. Thus, a selective and sensitive procedure was presented for simultaneous determination oflead, cadmium and nickel using ABA and differential pulse-adsorptive cathodic strippingvolt...

Selective Determination of Trace-Bismuth by Extraction-Differential Pulse Polarography in Non-Aqueous Media

The voltammetric characteristics of bismuth(III)-oxinate in chloroform at the mercury electrode were investigated and a quasi-reversible behavior for Bi(III) oxinate reduction was confirmed. Preceded by the extraction of Bi(III) oxinate in chloroform, differential pulse polarography was developed in the extracts for determination of the trace-bismuth. The linear range of the calibration gra...
